Mr. Gun Bo Park, Chairman
Mr. Park and his family founded and operated BooSan Chemical Ltd. Co. in Busan, South Korea. BooSan Chemical manufactured shoes for Nike, Reebok, Converse, New Balance, and others in the 1980’s until the industry moved to Southeast Asian countries. In 1985, the South Korean President recognized Mr. Park’s contribution to the country’s business and awarded his company the “Bronze Medal.”
Mr. Park ventured into real estate development in the 1990’s with the development of industrial warehouses in Busan, South Korea. Since then, Mr. Park has invested in real estate opportunities throughout South Korea, Japan, Oregon and Arizona. In 1999, Mr. Park and his family formed G&S International, LLC as a real estate investment entity.
In 2004, Mr. Park formed Parkland Development to further acquisitions and development in the western US region.
James H. Kyung, General Legal Counsel
James has been involved in development of commercial and multifamily real estate for more than 20 years, both as an attorney and developer in Portland, Oregon and Phoenix, Arizona. With degrees from UCLA and Willamette University Law School, James started his career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen in Los Angeles and practiced business and real estate law in Portland. In 2005, James co-founded Parkland Development, LLC (“PLD”) and is now providing general legal advice, development, and project management services for PLD.
James’s real estate experience includes development of retail, single family residential, multifamily residential, family entertainment center, large tract land entitlements, freeway digital billboard, hotel, and brownfield developments. M,W,F, at noon, he plays basketball.
Arnold Junghoon Park, President
Arnold Park is in charge of the real estate acquisition and property management in Korea and Japan.
Eugene Ahn, Assistant Project Manager
Eugene joined Parkland in October 2018. He is responsible for assisting project manager to develop the Park 10 property in Arizona.
Sejin Kim, Office Manager
Sejin joined the Parkland Development in 2006. She handles office administration and bookkeeping.
